Hope Valley Area Campgrounds
Hope Valley is known for its stunning beauty, especially in the fall when the aspen leaves turn to vibrant shades of yellow and orange. Painters, photographs, fly fishermen, and nature lovers are drawn to the valley. A newly renovated campground is located right in Hope Valley while others are found to the east along the Carson River.
A long-established favorite destination in Hope Valley, Sorensen's Resort, has changed hands and is now Wylder Hope Valley. Besides their cabins, the resort offers campsites at its neighboring campground.
Fully renovated in 2012, Hope Valley Campground is located at an elevation of 7,300 feet in Hope Valley, 8 miles east of Carson Pass on Blue Lakes Road. Usually open mid-June to September 30, depending on snowfall. Improvements at the campground include new RV-friendly roads, single and double sites, and all new campsite furnishings, including campfire rings, bear boxes, picnic tables, BBQs, and prep tables.
